Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. defended the title in front of her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
