Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium across her diverse competitions during the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
