Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural at athletics before she realized her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix got a contract to pursue an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. One year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by doing 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. As of 2005, she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, over her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her competitions.
